Musical Theatre is a hybrid between jazz, modern and ballet, catering the dance to what the songs and/or show call for. What separates musical theater classes from any other in a dance school is that it is set to songs specifically from Broadway shows. This style requires just as much acting ability as it does dance ability.
These 6 week classes focus on improv, singing, dancing, acting and directing while including other elements of the stage such as set & prop design, script writing, overcoming obstacles and auditioning. Classes will participate in a mini performance on the last day of class. Athletic attire and ballet shoes required. No jeans, no skirts and hair should be pulled out of face.
